used to hiking so it was a bit of a relief to get to the lodge, the cock of the
rock birds dance very well with is its wings . Our guide Alex had a tiger eyes
to see many types of colorful birds like ,trogons ,Quetzals ,Andean cocks

Macaw adventure offer us an unforgettable experience in the rain forest Sandoval lake lodge and its wildlife in the Tambopata National Reserve. It is somewhat difficult to reach, even in April when the dry season starts: 50 minutes by motor boat from Puerto Maldonado, a 6 km walk with rubber boots, another boat transfer across the Lake Sandoval. The Lodge has an appealing wooden structure; the rooms are simple, clean, with mosquito protection. Food is simple, very good. Guided tours along the shores of the lake (morning, evening), at night in the forest with pocket lamp. The guide Alex was very experienced, helpful and friendly the organizer, take little luggage. I thoroughly enjoyed a three days/two nights stay. Expensive but nice.
Diane &John Perl, United Kingdom Sandoval lake lodge 3days 28 may 2013,
Paul is very nice friendly guy, very attentive, an excellent tour guide, very happy, very patient I struggled the second day, but he stayed with me to make sure I was ok, his knowledge was excellent and I gained a lot of knowledge. I would recommend him to friends that are coming to do the trek. Thanks a lot for a nice trip
Marie Billt – Australia salkantay 4days 22 April 2013 .

We loved this nature place! The location is amazing and we found the lodge very comfortable. Yes - there are no ceilings to the bedrooms, just netting, but this is the jungle and this enabled cooling breezes to circulate. The beds are very comfortable, there are hot showers and the electricity was on as advertised when we needed it. The communal area is lovely with hammocks, easy chairs and tables and a friendly bar. The meals were all brilliant and freshly cooked, using local ingredients where possible, & the breakfasts were the best we had anywhere. Our guide Cesar was fantastic and we saw lots of wildlife. We were lucky in that it didn't rain (it wasn't the rainy season) and the trek through the jungle was fine (we knew about this when we booked). All staff at the Lodge were extremely friendly and helpful & the pisco sours were great - we didn't think the price of these was expensive given that everything has to be carried to the lodge. The lake is so peaceful and the views from the Lodge are wonderful. Highly recommended!

La présence toute simple du muletier,
essentielle cependant.

I have been doing this fabulous trek with an excellent team, Jhon as a Guide, Carlos as the cook and raul as the horseman. All of them showed me the Peruvian lifestyle. Thanks to the competence of each one, I have seen and lived extraordinary things that I will never forget. All of the landscapes seen on the way were just wonderful. I can advise to anyone who wants to to it, to book it, you wont´t regret is, it is just amazing !!

The Inca Trail is the most fantastic experience I had and has exeeded all my expectations. From the moment I was collected I felt this was a once in a lifetime experience. The guide took extreme care of all the group and was extremely knowledgeable at all times, explaining clearly the significance and meaning of all the incredible sights along the trail. The porters and chef produced amazing food and worked hard at all times, again taking great care of us!I cannot praize the staff enough and will go back to my country and tell all my friends and family that not only is Peru a beautiful country but also the people who have made me so welcome.

the trek was wonderful! Juan Carlos was not only knowledgeable, organised and highly competent, he was a pleasure to be around. He was encouraging the slowest of us, entertained us with stories of Inca history and local culture. Also the cook Javier was amazing who should write a cookbook! All of us would purchase it!
